A formula example, not a universal answer.
Do not add this alongside several other exfoliating products. Paula's Choice describes a lightweight leave-on liquid with 2% salicylic acid and green tea extract. You apply it with fingers or a cotton pad after cleansing and do not rinse it off. The brand says to start every other day and build up to twice a day at most. Salicylic acid is oil-soluble and often chosen for oily-looking areas. Wear sunscreen during the day, follow the local label and stop if irritation develops.
